What is a Grievance Policy?
By law, all employers must set out a grievance procedure and share it in writing with all employees. Demonstrate that you are a responsible employer, meet your legal obligations and ensure problems, complaints or concerns that employees may have are dealt with fairly, consistently, and in a timely fashion.
This policy is aligned with the UK’s ACAS (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service) Code of Practice, providing procedures to ensure employees are treated fairly and, that your company is less likely to encounter expensive, time-consuming tribunal claims.
Why is a Grievance Policy and important?
The grievance policy provides employees with guidelines on how to raise a grievance and details how your company will handle the process.
Should I use a Grievance Policy template?
Even though templates can be really helpful to create policies for your company, they are not the perfect solution. Templates are standard documents that do not reflect your company’s peculiarities. Instead of using a Grievance Policy template, our recommendation is to create a custom policy completely adapted to your company’s needs. The Adoptech platform allows you to create over 70 bespoke policies in seconds.
